In 1979, the first factory in the county was inaugurated in Slatina, having as object of activity the production of car pistons and aluminum castings for the car manufacturing industry in Romania. In 1991, according to the new legislation, the company is transformed into a joint stock company under the name of ALTUR S.A., a year that represented an important moment in the subsequent evolution of the company. ALTUR S.A. has exceeded four decades of existence, accumulating over the years a rich experience in making cast aluminum products. The promotion of investments and the latest technologies have made ALTUR a high-performance company capable of competing on the foreign market with the strongest European companies. Currently ALTUR is a company with fully private capital.
